I HAVE A NEW LENS. And it is amazing. Let the obsessive photo-taking commence and continue into 2015.
I hope y’all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas weekend! While my family doesn’t celebrate the holiday (as you can see by our Christmas morning breakfast), there is something cozy and nostalgic about coming home. Not the home we build for ourselves after leaving for college and beyond, but HOME-home; the place where every inch of my room is covered in Johnny Depp, John Lennon, or James Dean posters (I had a thing for J-named guys?); the place where I can spend an entire afternoon drinking chai, watching bad Hindi movies, and rushing to pick up Panda Express before it closes. It may not be traditional, but to me, that’s what the holidays are all about.
San Francisco on the other hand, is a beacon of light and festivities during this season. In between Bollywood and Johnny Depp flicks, I got to see the AWESOME new Cirque du Soleil show, “Kurios” – which I can’t help but feel is a motif for 2015 – eat even more Indian food at the seafood-based Gajalee in the Mission, and go on a gingerbread house crawl in the downtown hotels.
We only got a few more days left of 2014 now, so let’s make them count, yea?
Sounds like you had an AWESOME holiday!! And yay for a new lens! Can’t wait to see some fabulous photos in 2015!
I am loving my new lens so much, it makes blogging so much more fun!
