Anyone who knows me knows how much I love breakfast. It’s not only the most important meal of the day, it’s simply the best one. It sets the tone and has the ability to transform your mood from sluggish and annoyed to rejuvenated and motivated.
When I was race training, I was eating so much carbs I was pretty much bleeding gluten. In the mornings, I’d load up on granola paired with fruit and a big cup of coffee. It’s been a great power breakfast, except for one thing—the race is over.
In a post-race world (not as apocalyptic as it sounds), I no longer need as many carbs. But being a creature of habit (and a morning exerciser), I still crave my power breakfasts and wanted a better way to eat them. That’s how I found Bare Snacks.
Bare Snacks has been the best update to my morning. Instead of carb-heavy granola, I rely on Bare to keep me feeling healthy and satiated. They’ve got a large variety of chips to choose from, but my personal favorite is the coconut, which adds a toasty crunch to my morning bowl of Skyr yogurt, fruit, chia seeds, and honey.
At this point, I’m eating Bare Snacks not only for breakfast but for my afternoon snack as well. But for today, I’m excited to share the recipe for my power breakfast with toasted coconut chips!
