Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful week engaging in whatever traditional and/or awkward holiday traditions your family does. I personally loved my excess of Hindi movies and chai, of which three cups a day is the standard, if not a little on the low side.
Over the summer, I reunited with Erika, the lovely lady behind The Pancake Princess, for a blogger brunch. Part 2 happened this past week with a holiday dinner created by your two favorite dessert enthusiasts! It was great fun to have our families get together, and I’m sure our moms were thrilled not to cook for once. Of course, we had just as much desserts as real food, but hey, it’s the holidays, so why not? Our menu:
Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Crackers and Rosemary Flatbread
Arugula Salad with Pistachios, Cranberries, and Creme Fraiche Dressing
Homemade Pizzas – Margherita, Spinach & Egg, and Basil & Olive
Vegan (!) Lasagna with Tofu and Beets
Tiramisu Cheesecakes
Apple Crostata in a Pan
Cookies n’ Cream Peppermint Bark
Check out the photos of our spread below. Lots of cookings means lots of eatings means lots of recipes that I’ll be posting next week to round out the year. I’m off to sunny Socal this weekend, so if there’s any place I should eat at, holla at yo gurl!
What was on your holiday table?
We didn’t have enough crackers,so this flatbread happened last-minute with rosemary from Erika’s yard! Fragrant and delish.
When life decides that your crostata dough is gonna be too sticky, then you stick everything into a pan and bake it off into a buttery, fruity apple dessert. Top with whipped cream and eat up!
what an awesome spread of food. never had pizza on egg, i need to know more on that..Happy Holidays 🙂
i meant eggs on pizza (my bad)
Oh my god, you HAVE to try egg on pizza – it totally changes everything and is so delicious! Plus, it’s so quick to cook that you barely have to wait!
Ummmm loving these pics. This was so much fun! Thanks for helping save the crostada and soldier through that lasagna lol.
Hey, I did like that lasagna, and I definitely ate all the leftovers. This was so fun – I can’t wait to do it again!
What an epic looking dinner. So jealous!! Can’t wait for the cookies and cream peppermint bark 🙂
