Slowly but surely, spring is coming to the city by the bay.
It’s been a month of transition for restaurant menus. New produce is trickling in for fresh dishes to serve and new techniques to try. With Daylight Savings, we’re also seeing the days stretch out into sunlit evenings, which makes eating out that much more enjoyable.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite spots I tried this past month and am excited to eat at again as the menus evolve into the season. If anyone wants to join in, let me know 😀
Volta // SOMA { Scandavian food is slowly becoming more popular, and Volta gives it a French flair. Foie gras, Brussels sprouts, and the éclair were killer. }
Hearth Coffee Roasters // Castro { I’m always looking for a good breakfast and found this spot walking distance from me! I’m going again next week for dinner. }
Mateo’s Taqueria // Mission { Super cute spot for its location, and the chorizo potato quesadilla is a win. }
Indian Paradox // Lower Haight { An Indian place that serves up authentic regional street food with wine pairings – I’m there! }
BDK // Nob Hill { It’s a hotel restaurant but a good one at that. Open past 10pm on weekdays. }
Cocobang // Nob Hill { It’s hard to find good Korean food that isn’t in the Richmond, but I think I found it here! The kimchi pancake is everything.. }
Sous Beurre Kitchen // Mission { Deep in the Mission with great French style food that doesn’t leave you feeling too heavy. I came for brunch, now I need to try dinner! }
Zero Zero // SOMA { I forgot how good the pizzas were here! Although they’re famous for soft serve, I really liked their semifreddo dessert }
Liholiho Yacht Club // Nob Hill { Finally got to cross this spot off my list! The poke is the best I’ve had outside of Hawaii, and the mocha dessert is highly underrated. }
The Mill // NOPA { I know this place is always on my list, but they have grilled cheese now! Find me there on Wednesday evenings. }
