When I wrote this post, I had stuff strewn all over my bed and floor and my luggage (multiple pieces of them) were wide open. In them, I had to pack:
- Traditional Indian outfits, which needed to be folded and stored carefully so they didn’t crumple
- Miscellaneous toiletries like dry shampoo, hand lotion, and floss (does anyone else bring floss while traveling or is this just a weird thing I do)
- My mirrorless camera—I have a Fujifilm XT2
- Sneakers, flip flops, and daytime walking shoes
- MONOPOLY DEAL, aka the best game ever
- Gifts for all our family and extended family and friends that are basically family
If you hadn’t guessed from the first item, I was packing for India!
As a child, we went to India nearly every year, and I lived there when I was little. Now that I live in Real Life, my trips have spread out to every few years. This time, it had been four years since I visited last, which meant 4 years of being out of touch with the scene (has Monopoly deal reached India??), and more importantly, 4 years’ worth of gifts I needed to bring. I’m so happy that I had Travelpro® to make my packing super efficient and way less stressful.
As you can see from my packing list, I had a lot of items that needed to be stored properly and also be accessible quickly (once again looking at you, Monopoly Deal). My Travelpro® Crew™ 11 21″ Expandable Spinner Suiter was a DREAM for this! It contains so many pockets, so I could organize everything from my notebooks to my toiletries (there was even a compartment that fit my straightener perfectly). The fold-out suiter is originally meant for suits, but I put my Indian outfits in there and they flew through the 18-hour journey completely secure and wrinkle-free. This was key, because with all the city hopping we did, I never have access to an iron.
Speaking of city hopping, my family lives all over India. During those short 2 weeks, we shuttled ourselves to Delhi—Meerut (a smaller town a few hours away from Delhi)—Rishikesh—Noida—Jammu—Delhi—Bangalore. These cities varied widely in weather, terrain, and of course, family members, and I often didn’t have time to check in luggage at each stop. In fact, for many of these mini-trips, didn’t even fly but instead took trains and cars.
Since I needed a lot of stamina, not only to hop from city-to-city, but to withstand hordes of aunties asking too many questions, Travelpro® had me covered (unfortunately, nothing could save me from the aunties). My Travelpro® luggage was super durable and held up during all the running around we did. It was sturdy enough to handle the roughest of car, plane, or train rides, which was what I needed for this trip. And if anything were to happen to my luggage, like functional defects or airline damage— it comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty Coverage and its Trusted Companion promise.
As a carry-on, my Crew™ 11 21″ Expandable Spinner Suiter ($299.99 ARV) was WAY roomier than I thought. Its pockets kept my stuff organized much better than other luggage do, so for this India trip, I actually had room to spare, which NEVER happens on India trips; this also meant more shopping I got to do. So when I did fill up my suiter with the aforementioned shopping, I had my Crew™ 11 Carry-on Smart Duffle with Suiter ($199.99 ARV) to pack all the extra items.
I can’t recommend Travelpro® enough! Whether you’ve got a hectic family vacation or a chilled out weekend road trip, Travelpro® makes your life so, so much easier.
