Short week short post!
As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve been on a dessert craze, practicing furiously on the weekdays and weekends. One of my pastry coworkers-turned-friends from a certain place has a fantastic home kitchen that could rival some professional restaurants’. Even though he’s off to start his own venture in Laguna Beach (Socal folks, look out), we’ve been getting together once a week to streamline his recipes and my cleanliness skills – I have a tendency to spread messes which is definitely not the greatest when there are a million dishes to do and it’s time for bed.
A couple weeks ago, he taught me how to make this gorgeous fallen chocolate soufflé tart – again, with some good quality chocolate like I discussed yesterday. I won’t post the recipe, as it’s not mine, but I did want to share photos of the final product, complete with a rainy day background and February-red motif.
Chocolate on chocolate.
So rich! It looks quite fudgy.
It is! A little piece goes a long way with this one.
Chocolate on chocolate?? Wow, it sounds amazing!! I love how it looks and I’m sure it is delish as well! <3
It’s such a good dessert for February – I want to tweak it to my own so that I can give y’all a recipe!
if you are sharing the recipe, are you atleast sending me some?
Haha I want to do both! This is gonna be a recipe I need to play around with first!
Um teach me pastry stuffs??? This looks PHENOMENAL. Be my (belated) Valentine <33
Girl, get yourself back to the Bay! Erik can hang out with us too. Maybe.
This looks heavenly.
Thanks Jocelyn!!!
What a fun dessert!
Thanks! I think it works great for Valentine’s month, or any time of the year, hah!
Ooo This looks so rich! Love it!
Rich and delicious! Go big or go home, right?
Chocolate on chocolate brings happiness to my heart!
I think it’s one of the best combinations out there!
Sounds so delicious!
It is, and the fact that it’s a “fallen” soufflé means that you can’t even mess it up 🙂
Um. So. YES. Tell your friend SoCal is ready, and NorCal is also ready for this gorgeous tart (thank goodness I frequent both locales, heh!).
Haha that works out so well for you – I’m jealous!
