Happy Monday and Happy Diwali everyone!
Diwali is the Indian festival of lights and our new year. Traditionally, it is a celebration of good over evil with lights, new clothes, presents (!), and of course good food. This article sums up the wonderfulness pretty nicely – seriously, so many laddoos.
Usually, I go home every year to celebrate, and not being home this year definitely made super homesick and sad that I couldn’t be with my family. But this is the new year, and so celebrations happen anywhere and everywhere. And with some cool kids in tow, we created our own Diwali as best we could – with food, beer, and Bollywood music.
Diwali Mubarak!

Happy Diwali! Even if you can’t go home to celebrate, you can create brand new ways to enjoy the holiday here. Makes for the best memories, too. 😉

Thank you, Carolyn! It’s heartwarming to have such amazing people in different places to celebrate a cultural significance.

It was! It’s so nice to be able to celebrate holidays no matter where we all are!
