It’s officially the New Year, and everyone is underway with new resolutions to live a better life. This year, I’ve forgone the usual will-never-keep promises for goals that I keep track of on my Life List, to which I’ve added:
- Write down 1 new thing I’ve learned everyday on my calendar
- Read one book a month
- Continue to follow my passions and interests, without exception, no matter how tough it is sometimes
- Continue to meet new and inspiring people
That last one got taken care of pretty quickly with some great friends, great views, and great wine up in Marin this past weekend. I’ll admit I know little nothing about wine, except that I prefer red to white, so I’m always happy to have an opportunity to get my grape on. Plus, here’s an interesting wine fact that I added to my calendar:
In 1976, California wine beat out France wine in a blind taste test. There is even a movie about the “Judgement of Paris,” and many of those wines are from Napa and Sonoma!
Enjoy these photos from the weekend, and stay strong – it’s our first full week back at work and it’s about to be a struggle.
Wining and dining.
Veggie sandwich with fennel and mozzarella from Craftsman & Wolves, one of my fav spots in the Mission
im jealous of that sunshine..send us some please.
Oh no, where are you at? Is it cold there? Just come visit California!
That veggie sandwich looks tasty.
It was delicious! I’m not a huge sandwich fan in general but I definitely polished this one off.
A great list of resolutions that could apply to all of us. Wishing you a very happy start to a new year!
Happy New Year to you as well, Carolyn! I saw that you’re doing a food discussion next week which looks awesome. I would love to come!
So so jealous of that view, sunshine and weather!
It’s really difficult for me to imagine that there is a “polar vortex” going on when it is this sunny here. Hopefully the weather is good for you wherever you are!
Love how your shots really accentuate the sun! I need to spend more time in the Marin headlands. Happy eating to you in the new year!
I think I’ve caught the Marin itch, because all I can think about is when I’ll be going back. I love San Francisco, but I wouldn’t mind a little more sun, wouldn’t you? Happy new year!
