Sometimes, things move a little too fast and it feels like nothing makes sense. Life becomes a balancing act between personal health, emotional stability, work progress, being social, and maintaining a clean room (that last one ain’t never happening).
This past weekend was one of those times where I was a little overwhelmed by all the aforementioned things. When that happens, I find that stopping for a bit to just enjoy the city that is San Francisco helps clear my head and realize how damn lucky I am to have so many amazing people in my life and live in a place where I can enjoy Bi Rite in February and bike to the foggy beach in the same day. It’s the ultimate pick-me-up when things get a little nuts, and it’s not half bad.
Life isn’t always 100 percent, but then again, neither we are we.
Detoxing with a blueberry granola smoothie from The Grove
Enjoying the cat art at Four Barrel while waiting for brunch
We all scream for ice cream! Especially from Bi Rite
Sending Rajat off to NYC with a quintessential SF day – see you in March!
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Karl the Fog rolls in
I love your plaid shoeeessss!! Where did you get them?? I hope this week is much slower and better 🙂
Thank ya!! I actually got them as a gift, but they are Sperry’s, so my advice would be the interwebz 🙂
Whoa! That’s some major fro-yo! LOL It’s true, though: When life seems overwhelming, just taking a big deep breath — especially of fresh air — helps immensely.
I would totally agree – the giant fro-yo helped out as well!
I totally know what you mean!! We ARE lucky to live in such a beautiful city though. I am going to have to make a trip to San Mateo soon for that yogurt, OMG!!
Honestly, San Mateo has a LOT of amazing food, and cheaper in SF as well! Worth it!!
I’m glad you took some time to enjoy your weekend!!
Thanks Joanne – luckily the weather held out for me as well!
Wall of Shame and Solutions, I think I am going to copy that idea. Add to your list seeing and hearing Michael Minna up close and personal, where else can that happen!!!!
That is true! And eat noodles and crispy tuna 🙂
Looks like a fun time!
It was! Can’t say no to ice cream, ever.
Oh my gosh that yogurt cup is making me mouth water! Enjoy the rest of the week 🙂
I always forget how much fro-yo it is until I order it – oh well!
