Another week another eat! It was too sunny to stay inside, so I basically lived out the last two days soaking up the good things that make up SF. The Ferry Building seemed to agree with their showcase of all the winners of the Good Food Awards, of which many came from California.
Having come from a restaurant, it always makes me happy to see delicious, local, cared for food being recognized. We tend to focus so much on diversifying and making things bigger and bigger, but there is something very impressive to see one single thing being committed to and done well. I’m still trying to find that “one thing” myself, so it’s nice to be able to explore the Ferry Building marketplace for inspiration.
It’s week 2 of Dine About Town, so don’t forget to make your reservation – check out my top 10 list for ideas if you’re stuck. And since it’s Monday, listen to these jazz-inspired house tunes to gear you up for the week; it’s been my soundtrack all weekend and there is no way you can’t groove with it.
Funk it up.
Congrats to Sightglass Coffee for a Good Food Award – local pride!
These guys come for Portland with an awesome hazelnut crunch bar that I could eat every day
Too obsessed with raclette,a Swiss dish of melted cheese on bread and pickled vegetables. Check out the heat lamp they use here.
Sunday indulgences at the newly opened Three Twins in Lower Haight. Butterscotch pecan, I’m into it.
Great pics!! Again, I want to eat all the food. Crazy jeals of your weekly birite escapades!
Haha Bi-Rite is a blessing and a curse, but I love it!
You are making me hungry with all these! I want a Bi-Rite now, too…
Haha come and let’s get some! It’s a 10 min walk from my place.
Weekly Bi-Rite….that is my dream!
In that case, I am definitely living the dream, and I can’t complain!
1) You captured me with my favorite flavor from Bi-Rite earl grey. Can’t wait to hold that sturdy cup again.
2) As a lover of jazzy house, i’m surprised i had not heard of floating points but am glad to have discovered them through you. Makes the Tuesday morning at the office that much better.
3) Awesome photography as usual. 🙂
I’m so glad to hear of it! Good music has the power to change everything. Hope you have a great day!!
