It’s time to take down some summer time in San Francisco.
Every year at this time, I’m out of the country (which I’ll also be starting tomorrow), so I’ve missed SF summer. I’m in awe of how ACTUALLY hot it can get here, and how delicious that late-summer produce has been tasting. It’s been a stellar few weeks of being out and about day and night, doing everything from potluck brunches, drinking tea in the park, seeing Drake, and trying new restaurants. Here’s a roundup of my favorite spots this past month:
Skool { On an unassuming stretch of the Mission, this restaurant rocks seafood. Uni flan and crab deviled eggs FTW }
West of Pecos { Sit by the open windows and share a cactus bowl, and your afternoon is set }
Japanese Tea Gardens { They’re small, but worth a visit if only to be outside. I like grabbing tea and matcha cheesecake inside as well }
Nomica { Newly opened, with an interesting take on izakaya food. Think chicken karaage in cubes! }
Souvla { Their new Divisadero location is around the corner from me and it’s a dangerous and wonderful thing. They also have breakfast sandwiches! }
