One of the best things about San Francisco, and the Bay Area in general, is its propensity to embrace and encourage the weird, beautiful, ugly, delicious, questionable, ultimate originality that is people. We have ping pong roulette tournament pop-ups (which I learned is a thing as of Friday), 3-day festivals devoted to eating, and a fair for all that is S&M.
Lezbereal, we in the Bay are pretty damn strange.
But strange or not, we in the Bay also keep it real, which is why I never tire of the people I meet and the food I eat. For you all who live here, I hope you can say the same. Enjoy these photos from the best of the Bay this past weekend!
Always reppin’.
Kicking it off with a ping pong roulette tournament pop-up at D Structure in Lower Haight. The sign probably alludes to Breaking Bad? Viva Jesse Pinkman!
Beer in Mason jars and Korean mushroom tacos – must be the Eat Real Festival in Oakland! C/o Koja Kitchen.
The Kentucky from the Creme Brulee Cart – candied pecans and bourbon butterscotch. Bourbon is really popping up everywhere.
Bicycle Coffee – they deliver coffee all throughout Oakland. Their bike even has its own keg of coffee! I loved their break-even special on iced coffee – stellar marketing move.
I’m been having a serious craving for empanadas ever since Ecuador. I can’t be stopped!
It’s not a real weekend unless there’s brunch, this time from Bisou. Bottomless mimosas were a necessity before Folsom Street Fair.
