It’s never felt like a better time to make a list of what makes us feel good.
Y’all know that I do this regularly. This past month, I’ve felt even more connected to the people around me, bolstered by a shared sense of grief, passion, and inspiration. I’ve written about the former, but the latter two have also made this November a month I’ll keep in memory for a long time. As Thanksgiving weekend approaches, I hope everyone has a warm and much-needed few days with the people they love. Here are the things that I’ve been particularly thankful for:
Lazy Sundays full of cooking
Participating in my first charity date auction and helping to raise $10k!
Whiskey shots before said date auction began
FINALLY seeing Anthony Bourdain, one of my culinary idols, and reaffirming that (1) Tokyo is the best city to eat in, (2) Anyone who decides to cook is also deciding to fight, and (3) there does exist someone in this world who swears as much as I do
1/1 friend dinners
New Weeknd music
This song mashup
Baguettes and cheese
Rainy day brunches
The pool guard giving me extra time to swim
Pumpkin spice anything
