I usually write these posts when extra elated by things in my life. But I’ve realized that a little gratitude list proves more useful when I’m not feeling on top of the world.
This week has been a little tough for me emotionally. But I know that the bigger picture is still out there and still looking strong. The number one thing I am simultaneously most excited and nervous about is going to Paris in exactly one month…BECAUSE I HIT MY FUNDRAISING GOAL.
I’m still dumbfounded that I was able to raise the full tuition money for pastry bootcamp. To everyone who’s been following along, whether from day 1 or since yesterday, I can’t thank y’all enough. It’s one thing to chase your dream; it’s another to have friends from all over the world chase them with you.
So I know (in my head more than my heart right now) that these current ancillary turbulent emotions will pass. Because a lot has been going on and is about to go on, and I always have boatloads of things to be thankful for, like the following:
Reaching my fundraising goal for Paris (saying it again, #notsorry)
Getting lost in outdoor excursions
Sour beer
The life-sized cutout of Drake that is now at my desk at work
Friends who let me send them excessively long texts of crises
Staying at The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay for the first time
Mexico City for the long weekend with my best gal pal
Binge-watching Netflix
This song
Multi-course meals
My new journal
Blackberries
