Friends, family, readers, and everyone else – I got an itty bitty special announcement thing for y’all:
As many of you may know, for the past few months, I have been working on something that has actually been in my head for years.
It is no secret how much I fiend over cooking, eating, and sharing desserts. After 6 years of restaurants, 2 years of blogging, and an exorbitant amount of flour, butter and sugar, I’m pretty stoked to announce that my first product is up and running online for you – yes you! – and everyone else – to purchase!
What is it? Kahlua Toast Crunch, an adult, homemade version of cinnamon toast crunch that is incredibly addicting, especially when paired with ice cream.
Where can I find it? Where else but on the blog! You can shop from there or else directly from the Square Market, where the picture is bigger and more drool-worthy.
Who can buy it? Anyone in the US! And if you live in SF, then lucky you, because you can also PICK IT UP YOURSELF (read: save on shipping costs).
In the coming weeks, I’ll be putting together a more formal Shikha la Mode newsletter that will discuss product updates and catering possibilities, but for now, anyone who is interested can send me a message if you want to be on the email list.
I’m super, super stoked to share KTC with the world and even more excited to see where it leads. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and I can’t wait for the next steps!
Nom on!

Ummmm AWESOME!!!!!!! Congratulations on getting this open!!!!!!!!! Let me buy about 2048579238475 bags; this sounds amazing and addicting. Can you do a post soon on how you got here? I want to hear all about the making of Shikha La Mode’s first amazing product!! You are so cool 🙂
Shikha says
Thank you so much! Please buy that many bags, although I might die in making all of them – still worth it. I’m going to be doing more spotlights on local food entrepreneurs, since I feel that we all have so many questions on how to start a business – including me! I’m still learning everythinggggg.

Congratulations, Shikha! It’s amazing and cool and wonderful that you’re selling your own products. This kahlua toast crunch looks and sounds incredible. I hope you sell a billion bags! Please tell us more about this process of opening your own business. As someone who loves food and hopes to one day make a career out of it in some shape or form, I’d love to hear all about it.
Shikha says
Thank you Nancy! I’ll definitely do some posts in the future on how to do about this whole thing – I am nowhere near an expert, so I’m trying to get my bearings first and not screw up too much. In the meanwhile, I’m so happy to be reading amazing blogs like yours!

Girl, you know I’d love that – I’ve never been to Boston, so that’s on my list. In the meanwhile, how’s about you snag yourself a bag to hold yourself over til I get there!
