It’s time to put those new year’s resolution diets on hold because it’s SF Restaurant Week!
Every year, participating restaurants around San Francisco offer up a much more affordable dining option to their usual prices with a set menu. It’s become a great opportunity to try that one place you usually can’t, or take a new date to, or just enjoy a good meal with a friend.
The list varies each year. Here are my top picks of restaurants I recommend eating at for SF Restaurant Week (in no particular order):
- Aaxte: While the cuisine is listed as Spanish, it is actually specialized in Basque cuisine, making for a unique meal. The $65 dinner includes the familiar like patatas bravas and the new like octopus with root vegetables and persimmon.
- AQ: The restaurant prides itself on hyper-seasonal food and this menu is no different. Winter carrots, trout, and a pomegranate dessert round out a fulfilling dinner.
- Ichi Sushi + Ni Bar: This is one of the few participating restaurants that offers a drink as part of the meal. Choose from sake or rosé and make your way through a sashimi platter and other delicious seafood options.
- Spruce: Everyone raves about their burger, and come for lunch and you’ll get it, along with a first course and dessert – a decent amount of food for $25.
- Locanda: I’m a sucker for good pasta and burrata; Locanda has both on their dinner menu, plus a comforting budino dessert for a lovely Italian meal.
