It’s not often I make it to the Marina. Why? Honestly, because I’m lazy. Most of my friends live in my neighborhood, so I tend to wreak havoc in the confines of the Lower Haight. But when I had the opportunity to try the new brunch menu at the Dorian, I grabbed gal pal Kay of Teach Me Whatever and headed north.
The Dorian is unassuming from the outside, but glamorous and classy on the inside. Large lighting and a gleaming bar surround green velvet booths and tables. The menu is equally as rich. Their billionaire’s bacon is legitimately one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time, and the beignets are magic. Also the egg sandwich—total win.
Not to be forgotten from the menu are the drinks, a staple of any solid brunch. The Dorian offers a variety, with my favorite being—naturally—the mango mimosas. Multiple mimosas.
Check out the Dorian for your next brunch date!
