Last Thursday was the Best of SF Magazine Party 2016, an annual bash to celebrate the best food and drink in the city and looking good while doing it—never a bad thing.
I’ve been a big fan of SF Magazine since I was in college, using it as a resource to learn about the city’s growth and innovations. There’s actually a photo of me in an old issue from when I used to do pastry at A16!
This year, I got to try some delicious food from many new restaurants, a testament to the plethora of new spots that have opened this past year. The fact that many of them made it to the night’s event also speaks to the top-level talent involved. If I took away anything from the bash, it’s that the restaurant scene is showing no signs of slowing down and good food continues to be a priority in San Francisco.
Surprisingly, my favorite dishes of the evening were from places I haven’t dined at yet—corn soup from Hillside Supper Club, meatballs from Arguello, and noodles from Asian Box. I’ll definitely be checking these places out in the coming month and am excited to see what else they have to offer. SF Magazine did a fantastic job of showcasing these and many other restaurants, and I can’t wait to see what next year’s party brings.

I would love to win either the red tall ones or gold talls ones.. as when it rains they would be just a fabulous pop of colour on the grey and gloomy day…..
