I’m off to watch a Bollywood movie and scarf down Chinese food, a very serious tradition in my family. In the meanwhile, enjoy these few photos of my first attempt at a Yule log cake with chocolate, maple and pecans (don’t hate on my lack of cake-rolling skills – I’ll practice!).

Awww thank you! It was my first time, and I definitely need some practice – it’s certainly a labor-intensive cake, especially with all the ganache and decorations that professional bakeries put on top. I can’t even imagine making more than one at a time! Happy Holidays!
