With Burning Man less than a week away, it’s about to be the perfect time to try all the restaurants you never get a chance to—no lines! The first stop on your list should be Dosa. They just redid their menu and it is 100.
Dosa is a staple of the San Francisco restaurant scene. For years, they’ve served refined South Indian food in a beautiful space both in the Mission and Pac Heights. Like all restaurants, they usually alter their menu seasonally, but this time, they’ve gone ahead and revamped it completely. A couple of weeks ago, I got to try the entire thing—yep, the entire thing. So believe me when I say that they took South Indian food to new heights.
My slideshow below highlights the menu. Everything was delicious, but my favorites were easily the lamb chops, calamari stuffed with jalapeño peppers, and the carrot cardamom cake. Each of those dishes balanced traditional tastes with West Coast creativity perfectly, and no matter how I full I felt, I polished off dessert no questions asked.
So while the city makes its annual exodus, book a table at either location and experience Dosa’s new menu for yourself!
