It’s been a BUSAY month. Does anyone else agree with me on this? From getting back into the work routine, to actually figuring out what that routine is, to catching up with friends and everything else, I’ve found myself wanting to do absolutely nothing on the weekends, yet doing the exact opposite. Oops balance.
As y’all know, my theme for this year is to invest in myself, a little at a time. This month, I repainted my room, bought a new comforter, and started swimming again. I didn’t complete everything I set out to do, but I need to remember that this shit is a process, so it’ll take a little more time to get settled. And I’ve still got lots to be thankful for, like:
Being able to explore a new place solo (hi Spain)
Iberico ham (srsly how is this so good)
My job for pushing me hard to be better (and making weekend work totally worth it)
Chai (for solving all ailments)
Meeting new people (who challenge my status-quo)
Late night dance parties (because duh)
Therapy (for letting me piece together my past with my present)
Kezar Stadium workouts (for the delayed onset muscle soreness, aka DOMS)
New DRAKE (because God’s Plan is life)
Trying new recipes (tamarind chicken, anyone?)
Long conversations (with lots of laughing)
Nutella
Cooking brunch at home (also to try new recipes)
Swings (so underrated)
Got any goals for February? Here are mine:
Buy a rug for my room
Hang out with someone who inspires me
Not have my phone near me when sleeping
Call my mom twice a month
Read every week without interruption
Practice making tuile cookies
