A couple days ago, I attended the Moth, one of my favorite creative platforms upon which people tell (true) stories about something in their lives. I’ve loved the Moth for over seven years, reveling its ability to unite strangers around the simplicities and complexities of our circumstances, whether planned or not. It’s been a continual source of inspiration for writing and something I’m thankful to be able to listen to whenever possible.
January’s theme was “Do-Over,” aptly in the spirit of beginning-of-the-year resolutions and fresh starts. We’ve all got our 2017 goals (looking at you, October triathlon), so I also want to point out the things that make me happy and gear me up for the year ahead:
Burmese food
Bread and cheese
Rainy day movies on sofas
Live music
This song
Marching for what’s right all over the world (!!)
The Bitmoji Chrome extension
Cuba and seeing my best friend
Hershey’s kisses
Barry’s Bootcamp
Evening yoga
The show Atlanta (Donald Glover can do no wrong)
