It’s time to start the year out right with San Francisco’s Annual Restaurant Week. You may have to set aside your diets, but your wallet will remain slim once you eat a prix fixe lunch or dinner at some of SF’s finest spots. Here are my recommendations (in no particular order) for where to get your nom on during this delicious week:
$15 Lunch:
Belga { Solid new Belgian food like ham flatbread and a beer truffle. I don’t know what that is either, but it sounds very intriguing }
Burma Love { There aren’t reservations, but if you can wait, the mango chicken is worth it }
$25 Lunch:
Bellota {Rightly known for their ham, so order the slow-roasted pork and get ready to be very satisfied }
Rambler { A fairly new addition to the SF scene and a good one. The grilled cheese with caramelized onions is killer }
Skool { Every time I’m here, I wonder why I don’t come more often. Any of their seafood is amazing }
$40 Dinner:
Aina { This is the Hawaiian food we’ve all been craving. Spam bao and mocha cake are easy favorites }
Locanda { The pasta dishes are flawless, with desserts bursting from citrus freshness }
Precita Park Café { Their burrata is made in-house and is to die for. Lamb is also a solid main course }
$65 Dinner:
Babuji { Modern Indian food continues its ascent with this nicely crafted menu. My favorites are the seafood curry and chai-flavored kulfi }
Old Bus Tavern { The only thing better than this menu is that it comes with a beer sampler. Get ready }
