Summer isn’t as long as it used to be.
Frank sings it, we feel it, and it’s true. This month flew by, and in a few days, I’ll be escaping the city’s hype and blur for a much-needed new experience—Burning Man.
It’s coming at a good time, where I currently feel little faith in the realness of people. I’m ready to test my limits in an alternate reality, but not before I take time to reflect on the moments that have made this past month a worthy ride. As I set off, I’m feeling thankful for the following:
HBO’s “The Night Of” (so sad to be missing the finale, so please no spoilers!)
Harambe memes (too soon?)
Friends who answer my paragraph-long texts with equally long paragraphs
Free beer
Barry’s Bootcamp
AG Ferrari for having the best summer cheese spread
Frank Ocean for singing all of our feelings. All of them.
Coffee with coworkers
Reminders to stay bold, honest, and vulnerable, even when it hurts
Gal pal Sundays
Pad kee mao
