Homemade mochi! This version rolls the balls in a root flour and sugar mixture that makes them sweet to bite into.
You know I have to take thousands of photos of graffiti when I find it. This discovery along the trail was no exception
If there ever was a time for me to humble brag about the West Coast being the #bestcoast, it was this weekend – even our beloved anthropomorphic climate condition, Karl the Fog, tweeted about it.
With sun so bright, I spent the weekend soaking in every minute of it and exploring new things and places with people outside my usual group. I wrote earlier that I aimed to make this year epic, which to me means pushing my boundaries. That could mean spending an entire day on a ship (!) tie-dying shirts or doing a 7-mile hike that culminated with eating Taco Bell while overlooking the ocean (I know, I’m not proud of it either, but when the Taco Bell is located literally on the beach, it’s hard to resist the opportunity to gaze out on the Pacific).
Of course, there was no shortage of food either – homemade leek soup from this awesome recipe, a four-course dinner and show at Supperclub with my favorites, and a crash course in how to make mochi made this weekend pretty damn solid.
Sun so bright you betta get your shades.
What is that hike you did in Pacifica??? It looks gorgeous!
It’s on the Sweeney Ridge hiking trail and it’s BEAUTIFUL – definitely check it out!
Great looking eats!
Thanks so much!
Jealous! Northeast weather has been totally sucko lately. Living vicariously through you!
I keep seeing photos and reading news about the East coast and I am not jealous. You have to fly out here to enjoy this sunshine!
Sounds like an all around amazing weekend! The views from that trail are unbelievable — officially on my list for a weekend getaway from the city!
Yay, glad to hear that! You’ll definitely love it.
Awesome!!!
Not as awesome as you!!
